Further debugging reveals that the javascript object is retrieved successfully in the
___changeToggleState_ method. This method calls the method ___sendToggleRequest_ which
triggers an ajax request. It seems to be subsequent to this ajax request that retrieving
the javascript object from the DOM node fails.

When I try to select any node, it is not highlighted and it is possible to expand only
one node. After expanding one node, clicking on other expand signs does not work.
