Petr Ferschmann commented on RF-1125:
-------------------------------------
You are right that in IDE this is default behaviour in IDE. But in case I am using
suggestion box for search I want to enter only a substring (like in google). Now the
suggestbox is unusable for that.
So IMHO it would be great to have an option for that :-)
Suggestion box automatically selects first row

Key: RF-1125
URL:
http://jira.jboss.com/jira/browse/RF-1125
Project: RichFaces
Issue Type: Patch
Affects Versions: 3.1.1
Environment: Any browser
Reporter: Petr Ferschmann
Assigned To: Ilya Shaikovsky
Fix For: 3.2.0
Attachments: suggestion-3.1.1-GA.diff
By default when suggestion box returns first row it is automatically selected.
This confuses user because they can't just ignore suggestion and write part of the
selection (eg for searching).
This is common behavior of suggestion used eg by google.
This patch changes that so I have to put key down to select first row.
