The problem is that the function which sets the variables is only called in the middle of
htmlDatascroller.jspx, where some facets have already been rendered.
The attached patch should fix the problem by calling the function at the beginning of the
page.

When the pageIndexVar and pagesVar attributes of datascroller are used, they should be
available in all the facets. But they can only be read in the pages, next and fastforward
facets and not in first, previous and fastrewind.
