Using YSlow nad Firebug I figured out that all these per-component .js files are not cached by Firefox (and any other browser, because of these headers returned: Server Apache-Coyote/1.1 Last-Modified Tue, 29 Jan 2008 13:20:53 GMT Cache-Control max-age=0, no-store, no-cache Pragma no-cache Expires 0 Content-Type text/javascript Transfer-Encoding chunked For a complex page this adds several hundreds of kB EVERY time page is load (normal HTTP, not HTTPS request).
