Michael Youngstrom commented on RF-6506:
----------------------------------------
Is this really an "optional" priority? Richfaces is currently in violation of
several javascript library's licenses. For example, currently RichFaces includes
JQuery. JSMin is stripping out JQuery's copyright information. JQuery's
licensing agreement clearly state that their copyright information should be
"included in all copies or substantial portions of the Software"
(
http://dev.jquery.com/browser/trunk/jquery/MIT-LICENSE.txt). So RichFaces is currently
violating JQuery's licensing terms because of this bug.
In addition, I am now also violating the licensing agreements of several JS libraries
because I'm using a4j:loadScript to load my javascript files.
I would think that this should be a higher priority issue.
RichFaces JSMin Compressor remove copyright (and author information)
--------------------------------------------------------------------
Key: RF-6506
URL:
https://jira.jboss.org/jira/browse/RF-6506
Project: RichFaces
Issue Type: Feature Request
Affects Versions: 3.2.2
Reporter: Matt Wheeler
Assignee: Nick Belaevski
Priority: Optional
Fix For: Future
When RichFaces JSMin compresses our files, it removes copyright information. Since some
of these are third party libraries that required the copyright to remain in tact, this is
problematic.
