If the table consists of 15 rows, the specified action (for example action="#{capitalsSortingBean.sortByCapitals} ) is called 15 times (when clicked on the action link). (I assume it should be called only once...?) In the richfaces-showcase example with the US-states there are 50 states, the specified action gets called 50 times when clicked on the table header (the action link).
