Andreas Bergander updated RF-8645:
----------------------------------
Attachment: gmap.xml
gmap.jspx
I made some changes to gmap.xml and gmap.jspx in v3.3.3.FINAL which enables the gmap
component to use HTTPS and a Google Map Premier account. See attached files.
Support Google Maps API Premier and SSL in rich:gmap
----------------------------------------------------
Key: RF-8645
URL:
https://jira.jboss.org/browse/RF-8645
Project: RichFaces
Issue Type: Feature Request
Security Level: Public(Everyone can see)
Components: component-misc
Affects Versions: 3.3.3.Final
Reporter: Andreas Bergander
Assignee: Nick Belaevski
Fix For: Future_3.X
Attachments: gmap.jspx, gmap.xml
The gmap component could be improved to support the usage of a Google Maps API Premier
account. This would allow commercial web sites which use Google Maps internally or for
asset tracking purposes to still use this component. Also, when using HTTPS a Premier
account is required.
This improvement requires the following changes:
Add client and sensor parameter to gmap component and use them in the google map script
URL as request parameters.
Add boolean ssl parameter to gmap component and use http or https accordingly in the
google map script URL.
Remove key parameter in URL if client parameter is specified.

http://code.google.com/intl/sv-SE/apis/maps/documentation/premier/guide.h...
Optionally add the channel parameter as well:
