[~johnkeg2014] this issue has had no comments, votes, nor watches since it was created
until yours. This is why it has not yet been looked at too closely. If you would like to
formulate a Pull Request resolving this issue, we would gladly review it and include it in
an upcoming release (provided it passes our QA).

Note: RichFaces the {{[4.5.x|https://github.com/richfaces/richfaces/tree/4.5.x]}} branch
is the most logical place to resolve this issue atm.
