Ramon Casha commented on RF-10370:
----------------------------------
This issue is not resolved. As of 4.0.0.20110227-CR1 it still exists.
Here is an example:
{code:xml}
<?xml version='1.0' encoding='UTF-8' ?>
<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN"
"http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd">
<html
xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"
xmlns:h="http://java.sun.com/jsf/html"
xmlns:rich="http://richfaces.org/rich"
xmlns:f="http://java.sun.com/jsf/core">
<h:head>
<title>Test Messages</title>
</h:head>
<h:body><h:form>
<rich:panel header="Test Messages">
<h:panelGrid columns="2">
<h:outputLabel value="String" />
<h:inputText value="#{current.string}"
label="String">
<f:validateLength minimum="3" />
<f:validateRegex pattern="[A-Z][0-9]{4}" />
</h:inputText>
<h:commandButton value="Try" />
</h:panelGrid>
</rich:panel>
<rich:messages />
</h:form></h:body>
</html>
{code}
The above example produces two messages side by side. Adding a layout="table" or
layout="list" makes no difference, and the IDE reports that the messages tag
does not support that attribute.
I discovered that each individual message will not break across lines, but if the browser
is wide enough for two or more messages, they will appear on the same line.
