Pete Muir resolved CDI-265.
---------------------------
Assignee: Pete Muir
Fix Version/s: (was: 1.1 (Proposed))
Resolution: Rejected
This is a language issue. Each web module is a "web application". An EAR is not
web application.
So the ServletContextEvent should be used for the web application, and Object should be
used elsewhere.
Specify the @Initialized(ApplicationScoped.class) event payload for
an EAR with multiple WARs
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Key: CDI-265
URL:
https://issues.jboss.org/browse/CDI-265
Project: CDI Specification Issues
Issue Type: Clarification
Affects Versions: 1.1.EDR
Reporter: Martin Kouba
Assignee: Pete Muir
The spec states:
{quote}
The event payload is:
* the ServletContextEvent if the application is a web application deployed to a Servlet
container, or
* ...
{quote}
However this will not work for enterprise archives with multiple web modules (which
ServletContextEvent would be the payload).
