When I use the option "installTemplates" it copies the template to my project.
But If I change it and try to regenerate the scaffold it just ignores all the changes that
I've made. So how can I change the template and select to use it?

Well, ignoring the changes looks like a bug. This feature was designed to ensure that
project supplied templates would be used over the plugin supplied one, if it was present.
Could please raise a new issue in JIRA, with instructions to reproduce this?

I'm actually trying to understand the source code of forge and specially this plugin
to see if can create a patch and help the development.

A note about 2.0.0.Alpha13 release - it does not support scaffolding yet, but once the F1
AngularJS plugin is ported over to Forge 2, no new features would be done for F1 plugin.
Bugs would be fixed, but the F1 plugin would enter maintenance mode. I anticipate that to
occur around this month or the next.
