Release candidate for TP 4.31.0.Alpha2

Hi all, Here come (a bit too late, I admit) the Release Candidate for target platform 4.31.0.Alpha2. It's already available as 4.31.0.Alpha2-SNAPSHOT (on Nexus and on GitHub as master of branch 4.31.x). The only change is the move to Kepler SR1. So nothing got added, nothing got removed. Althout there is no change to expect, it's highly recommended that you give it a try before code-freeze to make sure your code still works with these new versions of its dependencies. Building the server component

Hi, Building the server component fails because the required file http://download.lab.bos.redhat.com/devel/candidates/JBEAP/JBEAP-6.1.0-ER4... doesn't exist anymore. I suppose we would need to replace it with http://download.devel.redhat.com/released/JBEAP-6/6.1.0/jboss-eap-6.1.0.zip or http://download.devel.redhat.com/released/JBEAP-6/6.1.1/jboss-eap-6.1.1.zip. New approach to assembling the staging site used to produce the JBoss Tools aggregate site

In JBIDE-15482 [0] Denis proposed a new way to host our staging builds. Instead of a "current" and "previous" build, which we'd list by hand in a composite site [1], he suggested we would do better to use timestamped builds and generate [2] the composite site [3] dynamically. I now have a first draft of such a timestamp-based generated composite site [3]. In the coming days, I hope to move the master jobs over to use this new system, which relies on the updated publish_new.sh script [4] instead of the older publish.sh script [5]. Proposal to change default configuration of Tycho-surefire-plugin

Hi all, As we are approaching for a solution to Tycho bug 386988 (allowing to run test with Surefire on an existing RCP application), it seems necessary to clean a little the default configuration of tycho-surefire-plugin so it would work as expected in all cases. I suggest the following change: https://github.com/jbosstools/jbosstools-build/pull/111 . It is mainly about removing the forced values for product, application, and the dependency to org.eclipse.platform. The default behavior of Tycho should already set all those values correctly, and the upcoming change for 386988 forces us to avoid setting explicitly those values to test against existing applications (such as JBoss Developer Studio). It also removes references to jmock, since it seems to me that no-one is using it. So please have a look and comment if you fear it will break something in your code/tests. Reminder of some important upcoming dates: 2013-09-25 :: New Kepler SR1 target platform 4.31.0.Alpha2 available [1] 2013-09-26 :: JBT 4.1.1.Alpha2 :: Code Freeze / Branch [2] 2013-09-30 :: JBT / JBDS Alpha2 Available to QE / Nick on "working PTO" 2013-10-02 :: QE smoke tests complete 2013-10-03 :: JBT 4.1.1.Alpha2 available to public [4] (JBDS not on EA) 2013-10-09 :: Nick's PTO ends Mickael should have the updated target platforms [1] available some time on Wed, so that people will have time to try it out. We will all then need to code freeze on Thursday - once again I'll generate JIRA tasks [2] for the steps required to be completed. Then on Friday, Mickael & I will update the jobs [3] to pull from the new jbosstools-4.1.1.Alpha2x branches, and by EOD Saturday there should be bits available for me to push to QE. Note too that from *Sep 30 - Oct 9* I'll be in Calgary on "working PTO" dealing with some family issues that came up unexpectedly last week, but I still expect to be able to get JBT 4.1.1.Alpha2 released as per the dates above. Need Example for Facets, Runtimes and Servers

Hey all, I need to add support into the SwitchYard tools to support multiple versions of its application configuration schema. We already have a project facet, so I'll be adding a new facet version that will be aligned with the new configuration version. I'd also like to add some runtime types and the necessary server discovery pieces to go along with those. I'll also be modifying the UI to show/hide fields based on the facet version. If anybody knows of an existing JBT project that would be a good example for some or all of these items, could you please send it along? Thanks in advance, Rob
