You might make sure the server configuration in the tools is configured to listen to the
management port...and make sure the configured port matches.

Even that needs a ODBC DSN created for Excel on Windows platform, if
you
already have VDB configured this will work. If you are trying to build
the VDB and preview while doing so then you will still see below issue.
