Upcoming change in Target Platform 4.40.0.Alpha2-SNAPSHOT: Luna M4

Hi all, Here is a proposal for a new 4.40.0.Alpha2-SNAPSHOT target platform: https://github.com/jbosstools/jbosstools-target-platforms/pull/32 It consists in the following changes: * Update to Luna M4 ** most projects have contributed a new build for M4 ** some projects did not change compared to previous TP (Orbit, Mylyn, SWTBot) ** TP now includes latest 3.2.0 release of EGit ** TP now includes Jetty 8.1.12 release instead of 8.1.10 (so does the Eclipse Luna M4 package) ** 3rd party stuff (Atlassian, GWT) was not updated. Please review this PR and yell if there is anything shocking. Hi all, As we have a big refactoring ongoing for parent pom, it is VERY IMPORTANT that your component do reference the ongoing version of parent pom, which is *4.2.0.Alpha2-SNAPSHOT*. Please update your components immediatly to avoid troubles and waste of time next week. Cleaning up jira

Preview of upcoming website

Hello everyone ! We finally have a draft of the upcoming website to share with you. It's not complete, but it's hopefully in a good enough shape so you can take a look at it and see how it's organized: http://jbosstools.github.io/jbosstools-website/ The code source for the site is on the github repo (on the 'master' branch): https://github.com/jbosstools/jbosstools-website/tree/master and we have setup Travis (https://travis-ci.org/jbosstools/jbosstools-website/) to automatically run a build when changes are pushed to master and if it passes it will be published to the staging server (github pages at the moment). Most of the pages come from Asciidoctor files, so for example, in the future, writing N&N should be as simple as submitting a PR with a file like this one: https://github.com/jbosstools/jbosstools-website/blob/master/whatsnew/ope... You will notice that github now renders .adoc files, thus N&N are also readable from github directly (raw version is here: https://raw.github.com/jbosstools/jbosstools-website/master/whatsnew/open...) Other pages such as those under http://jbosstools.github.io/jbosstools-website/downloads/ are generated from some yaml files such as https://github.com/jbosstools/jbosstools-website/blob/master/_config/prod... We still need to fix links and add some content but the general layout of news/blogs, downloads, features and New and noteworthy is there. We'll take care of this next week or when we come back from vacations. Please, give us our feedback by commenting https://issues.jboss.org/browse/JBIDE-12355 with anything that seems wrong/missing/broken on the site - or just reply to the mail if you like it ;-). Multiple version support on JBoss Hybrid Mobile Tools

Git tip for comparing small changes/documents

so this is just a FYI/tip on git. While looking at this diff it occurred to me worddiff is much nicer to compare these changes than normal diff used by git and github. If you have this PR checked out you can do: `git diff 4.40.x` which gives you: http://screencast.com/t/KRat75Yy (you got tons of duplicated lines even though in this case its just a few parts of the line that has changed. In comes word diff: git diff --word-diff 4.40.x which gives you: http://screencast.com/t/gmrBCmRfEKI Now no duplicated lines and you can more easily spot what changed. But you can even go further: git diff --word-diff-regex=. --color-words 4.40.x which gives you: http://screencast.com/t/nGpbD9EQ7B Now its just the character diffs. ps. you can remove --color-words if you like to have the {+} {-} but I find it a bit too noisy at this level. This word-diff is especially good to comparing textual documents as oppose to code where the normal line diff often are better. Just thought I would share that little time saver. /max

Eclipse Luna M4/GTK3 still not usable in FC20

Hi guys I got a new machine over the x-mas holydays and installed FC20 onto it. Luna M4 still is not usable for me on this latest Fedora release, the package explorer and the editors are just empty (see attached screenshot). I have to switch back to GTK2 to be able to use it. Am I the only one that is experiencing this (looks like I'm the only one reporting this so far)? Cheers André
