Hi,
The JSDT Feature Patch is released for WTP 3.6.3 (3.6 SR2). The patch
brings the fix for Bug 433515 - Eclipse freezes every few minutes
<https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=433515> back into WTP 3.6
stream.
Feature Patch is released at The Eclipse Web Tools Platform (WTP)
software repository
(http://download.eclipse.org/webtools/repository/luna)
<http://download.eclipse.org/webtools/repository/luna>;.
Can we bring it somehow into JBDS 8 stream or at least to make it
available for installation by the users?

Alexey,
Mentioned issue is fixed in WTP 3.7 stream, but still can be reproduced
in WTP 3.6.3 (3.6 SR2). As WTP 3.6 stream is closed (no more builds
here), we've made this Feature Path that, once installed by users, fixes
this issue in WTP 3.6.3.
Details text at the screenshot says: "Bug
https://bugs.eclipse.org/461160 Backport the fix for 'Bug 433515 -
Eclipse freezes every few minutes' into Luna SR2" - there is two issues
mentioned here:
- Bug# 433515 - is for the issue fixed in WTP 3.7
- Bug# 461160 - is due to bring the fix in WTP 3.6, but since 3.6 stream
was already closed at the time when the fix was made, we've made this
Feature Patch that allows to users to fix the issue in their WTP 3.6 SR2
environment.

This happened just this night, so...
I'm not sure QE has seen something like this issue, they aren't testing
JavaScript too much and not every JavaScript allows to reproduce this issue.

opened for the related fixversion
with link/info about the situation and marked as blocker so everyone
will see it before we close down a release.

Yes, people complain on Feature Patches:

And I agree in that having a Feature Patch is not the best solution,
since users cannot get it by using Help->Check for Updates...
But actually we've made 3 service releases already for WTP 3.6 (SR2 ==
3.6.3) and I don't think that the decision to make another release cycle
is possible.
