O, M, M2 and Q, I got the SWT_AWT bridge to work on Mac now. It works with Eclipse 3.2.1 and the Mac patch, no further configuration is needed. First, the Swing panels did not respond to mouse input, but when I put a Panel as the first component in the Frame, and the Swing components below that, it worked. This is documented in SWT_AWT Javadoc. But: There are some problems left. We have an Eclipse view with JTree, and though I'm able to open it, Eclipse crashes if this view is open at restart. It doesn't crash if I put a JPanel there instead. We must find a way to work around this. Thanks Max. This bug is a killer for Mac users (like myself), as it becomes impossible to restart Eclipse if the Navigator view is open. Hopefully, Eclipse/Apple can fix this quickly. If not, we have to work around this, for instance by porting the Navigator view to SWT. But I think we can give them some time first.
