Hi Bjoern, did you use the proposed solution in your project? I wanted to use it for an own problem with classloading (and I can also commit it back to jbpm after it works correctly) but have the problem, that this is leading to and endless loop, since the classloader is already needed to load the jbpm.cfg.xml in the JbpmConfiguration (InputStream jbpmCfgXmlStream = ClassLoaderUtil.getStream(resource);). [Design of JBoss jBPM] - add

Hi. I found a not so nice design detail of the CommandService: The Command.execute throws an Exception, the CommandService.execute not. I think either both or none should add "throws Exception" to the signature. But I think it would not be the best idea to change the signature of the CommandService now, what do you guys think? Maybe this should be addressed in the PVM? Or do you think it is fine like this? [Design of JBoss jBPM] - gwt-console in distribution

The new gwt console[1] is now included in the distribution [2]. It currently works on mock rpc services, but I will finish the process management soon. (I've posted this against the JIRA issue, but I'm also posting it here for any who might be searching/following the thread.) I have a fear that automatic expression evaluation for ActionHandler configuration could interfere with the ability to solve some interesting problems. I'll provide an example below. A recommendation: Rather than hard coding the expression handling logic, provide an example of a base class that users can extend if they want to take advantage of expression handling/syntax in any of their Handlers. With a base class, users can take advantage of expression handling when they want to, customize it if they need to, or intentionally ignore it. Below is a class that I use consistently--if you like it, just re-brand it, re-write it or whatever you like. As an example of customizing the handling of expressions, this particular class provides a specialized 'concatenateEL' method--for instance, if you want to assign swimlanes to a particular Sales queue based on Market, in your AssignmentHandler configuration you could write <group>Sales-#{market}</group> which would evaluate to something like "Sales-London". The stock JbpmExpressionEvaluator doesn't provide for this type of evaluation (and I really don't know if it should.) SAM is the big picture. But short term goals are to replace the existing jBPM console with a GWT one and provide initial BI capabilities. From this we'll plan to grow a full fledged BAM solution that overlaps with SAM to a certain degree. it is almost impossible to come up with a task lifecycle that satisfies all use cases. typically companies have their own view upon the task lifecycle. probably the generation of the task-end event is that cancellation also has to end the task. as usually cancallation of the task should not cancel the whole process instance. which exact events need to be fired when is certainly that we can have a debate about for jbpm 4. jbpm 3 should be kept stable. in jbpm 4, the task lifecycle is pluggable. it's a PVM process itself. (embeddable execution mode). so we should come up with the most general purpose task lifecycle that users then easily can tweak to their purposes. 'New' wiki down for almost 2 days

Guys (I'd like to say galls to, come on Tom... ;-)) http://jbpm.dyndns.org/jbpmwiki has been down for almost 2 days now (I think). I get into discussions with people for directing them to non-existent information. Can someone check that out?
