Prototype 1.6.0.2 only contains bugfixes and requires some changes to the syntax used.
Perhaps that is the problem with the upgrade? I don't see why there would be any
performance issues with such a minor release of Prototype.
Is it safe to say that you all will look into this again?

As of RichFaces 3.2.1, the bundled version of Prototype is 1.6.0. Would be quite nice if
this could be upgraded as some third-party JavaScript libraries are now requiring this
latest version (well, it's not the recent - it was released in January of 2008).
