Steven Hawkins commented on TEIID-817:
--------------------------------------
The xml connector uses equality/in criteria to handle the association of request to
response and to specify request parameters. For everything else though it's
unnecessary, but I guessing that the metadata on the response document is not setting all
non-request id elements to non-searchable.
Related problems exist in other connectors. The index connector advertises support for
quite a few things that it cannot fulfill completely all of them time, then has extensive
compensation logic, which just emulates what the engine would do. There was some
discussion about how to address this in TEIID-181.
XML-Relational connector is not handling = criteria.
