That is the question, what annotation you need to scan for; how the annotations describe
the metadata for you to make further decisions. What I saying above is JPA is one API that
defines those kind of annotations that provide such information. Other wise you would need
to come up a set of your own.

Please outline your method of approach before you get too deep into this, as we can weigh
pros and cons. I do not think we need a JPA based AnnotationMeatadataProcessor just yet.
There are few things we are still discussing out with OGM project, I would not like us to
develop anything that is duplicate in nature.

In order to provide the metadata, the class(s) must be interrogated to derive the
metadata. The first way, looking at only the methods (get/is) to derive column
information. This is needed because not everyone will use annotations. The second is to
derive the metadata from annotations (which are required for hibernate search option). I
couldn't find any good utility for transforming the annotations into sql or reuse what
hibernate had created. There is an old hibernate-3 maven utility that does this, but
couldn't find a newer version to use as a starting point.

To avoid full scans with the javabean approach, I added a pk field property to the cache
information available via the object connection. Also simplified the logic so that a view
is not necessary and pushed some of the type logic into lower level classes.
