We're on separate release cycles for the time being. EmbeddedAS builds
atop AS until we can get enough community feedback, do a few releases
against 6.0.0.M1, then lock things down when more stable.
Eventually, yes, I think it makes sense for "Embedded API" to be a
feature of AS, bundled in.
