Hi,
Would it be possible to upgrade:
com.google.guava to 12.0 [1]
slf4j to 1.7.x [2]
for the EAP 6.1 release, please? These versions are needed for SOA-P/BRMS-P
components.

I believe these upgrades may cause problems for Weld, although I am not
100% sure.
It may be possible to get around this with a new weld release, however
this new version of Weld would no longer be compatible with existing
containers that use it.

not 100% sure.
OK. Is that true for both guava and for slf4j?
It may be possible to get around this with a new weld release,
however this new version of Weld would no longer be compatible with

I think that might be a show stopper between 6.x releases. It would be nice
to know for sure though.

Guava upgrade to 12.0.1 should not
cause any problems with Weld. Not
sure about slf4j.

We have to maintain an sl4j API bridge so there is some small development work once that
happens. Before the upgrade happens it needs to be verified that Weld is compatible.

If not the answer was no ;-)
How do we poor mortals that don't know how to create PRs do
to get things upgraded? Do we open an AS& JIRA? How to make
sure these make into the Feb 8th tag?

PR is a handy thing that you can open together with jira :)
but why not upgrade guaua to 13.0.1? if we are doing upgrading?
i think guava upgrade should not be a issue. slf4j might.
