Brian Stansberry commented on JBAS-8212:
----------------------------------------
Something that's been discussed and should be added in post-M1:
In domain controller mode, system properties declared in the config can be set at one of
two times:
1) Via the cmd line params passed to the ProcessManager and on to the server's
java.lang.Process
2) By an AbstractServerModelUpdate passed to the server via stdin (i.e. one of the updates
used to initially build up the server's ServerModel.)
Currently, if a <system-property> is embedded within a <jvm> element, the
latter is used, otherwise the former. We'd discussed instead removing
<system-properties> as a child of jvm, and instead adding a flag to the
<property> element that lets the user control whether 1) or 2) is used. Default
would be 1), with 2) really only an option in case there are issues with the size of the
command line params.
