JNDI ObjectFactory should acccept parameters
--------------------------------------------
Key: AS7-4575
URL:
https://issues.jboss.org/browse/AS7-4575
Project: Application Server 7
Issue Type: Feature Request
Components: Naming
Affects Versions: 7.1.1.Final
Reporter: Ivica Loncar
Assignee: Eduardo Martins
Labels: binding, jndi, naming, objectfactory, resource, url,
urlresourcefactory
Attachments: objectfactory_with_params.diff
Original Estimate: 4 hours
Remaining Estimate: 4 hours
object-factory binding should allow us to specify parameters that should be propagated to
the ObjectFactory.
For example, Tomcat allows us to create URLResourceFactory that accepts parameters
defined as attributes of Resource element in XML.
The configuration would loook like this:
{{
<subsystem xmlns="urn:jboss:domain:naming:1.1">
<bindings>
<object-factory name="java:global/url/google"
module="net.croz.jboss.jndi.url"
class="net.croz.jboss.jndi.url.URLResourceFactory"
url="http://www.google.com"/>
</bindings>
</subsystem>
}}
I have implemented proof of a concept.
