Bela Ban updated JGRP-409:
--------------------------
Fix Version/s: 2.x
(was: 2.6)
Revisit this in 2.x. Instead of channel bundling, OS provided mechanisms such as IP
Bonding could be used (needs to be verified).
Theoretically, channel bundling could increase performance, as we can partition the
traffic across multiple IP multicast addresses.
If we want to do this, maybe we need to revisit logical addresses too.
Channel bundling

Key: JGRP-409

Project: JGroups
Issue Type: Feature Request
Affects Versions: 2.4
Reporter: Bela Ban
Assigned To: Bela Ban
Fix For: 2.x
We can distributed traffic across multiple sockets in the transport. E.g. if we have eth0
and eth1, and both are 100Mbps *full duplex*, then we should be able to send 100Mbps on
eth0 and 100Mbps on eth1 *simultaneously*.
