The idea behind configuration discovery is that a user merely goes to a mail client with support for this feature, enters his email address and his mail client automatically discovers his mail server and pulls down default configuration information (determined by adminstrative policy). This should be done in a manner similar to DHCP or JBAS's client side "autodiscovery" features (broadcast or multicast).
