[JBoss JIRA] (WFLY-3839) EjbClient: No cluster node manager found for node XY during server restart
by Dominik Pospisil (JIRA)
Dominik Pospisil created WFLY-3839:
--------------------------------------
Summary: EjbClient: No cluster node manager found for node XY during server restart
Key: WFLY-3839
URL: https://issues.jboss.org/browse/WFLY-3839
Project: WildFly
Issue Type: Bug
Components: Clustering, EJB
Affects Versions: 8.1.0.Final
Reporter: Dominik Pospisil
Assignee: Paul Ferraro
Situation: 4-node cluster, one node is failed at a time, during the whole test, clients are accessing stateless clustered EJB3. The failure type in this particular case is simulating server crash: JVM is killed using kill -9.
When the server was starting, being brought back, we saw this error:
16:05:29,966 ERROR [org.jboss.ejb.client.ClusterContext] (ejb-client-cluster-node-connection-creation-2-thread-17) Cannot create EJBReceiver since no cluster node manager found for node perf20 in cluster context for cluster ejb
Here is the log output again with context, the server was starting:

During the whole test, there were 4 server crashes and startups (1 for each node), but only 3 occurences of the above mentioned error. These cluster nodes are perf18, perf19, perf20, perf21, but this error was seen only for perf20 (two occurences) and perf18 (one occurence).
I did not find anything suspicious in the server.log of perf20.

[JBoss JIRA] (WFLY-3834) Memory leak in org.xnio.ByteBufferSlicePool
by David Lloyd (JIRA)
[ https://issues.jboss.org/browse/WFLY-3834?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.... ]
David Lloyd edited comment on WFLY-3834 at 9/10/14 8:37 AM:
------------------------------------------------------------
Since this problem only seems to occur with the remoting management client, my hypothesis is that a message stream is never being closed, thus its backing buffer is never being freed. Or maybe management client is doing something else no other protocol does, like closing the message before it is fully read or something like that. Still investigating.

> {code:java}
> package ru.kamis.tests.xniomemoryleaks;
> import org.jboss.as.controller.client.ModelControllerClient;
> import org.jboss.as.controller.client.helpers.Operations;
> import org.jboss.dmr.ModelNode;
> public class OutOfMemoryDemo {
> public static void main(String[] args) throws Exception {
>
> for(int i=0; i<1000000; i++) {
> ModelControllerClient client = null;
> client = ModelControllerClient.Factory.create("localhost", 9990);
>
> ModelNode operation = Operations.createReadAttributeOperation(new ModelNode().setEmptyList(), "server-state");
> client.execute(operation);
>
> client.close();
>
> if(i % 1000 == 0) {

[JBoss JIRA] (WFLY-2988) Class-level @RolesAllowed does not affect inherited methods

> Excerpt from the forum reference:
> Basically I have an EJB which derives from a base class. At the EJB itself there is an class-level {{@RolesAllowed}} annotation. With this annotation all methods which are implemented directly in the class can be accessed when the caller has the appropriate role. But when he tries to call a method which has been implemented in the base class, access is denied.
> Reading the EJB 3.2 Spec which says
> {quote}
> Specifying the RolesAllowed or PermitAll or DenyAll annotation on the bean class means that it applies to all applicable business methods of the class.
> {quote}
> I would suggest that this should work. Although this worked with JBoss AS 5.

[JBoss JIRA] (WFLY-3835) Add missing statistics to Undertow subsystem
by Thomas Heute (JIRA)
[ https://issues.jboss.org/browse/WFLY-3835?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.... ]
Thomas Heute commented on WFLY-3835:
------------------------------------
Having metrics about the size of objects stored in HTTPSession would also be interesting if doable / in that scope.
It would be useful for monitoring and diagnosis solutions so that they can warn about sessions that are clearly too heavy to be serialized and passed to another cluster node.
