Deploying a simple Stateless session bean with a single get method that has a dependency on OpenCV release 3.3.1 (opencv-330.jar) and it's corresponding 64 bit native library (opencv_java330.dll) from https://github.com/opencv/opencv/releases/tag/3.3.1
results in a UnsatisfiedLinkError:

The native library is placed in C:\Windows, which is in the java.library.path system variable.
Same code runs without exception in GlassFish Server 4.1 and also within netbeans 8.2 (albeit in a differnet test harness)
Using -Djava.library.path VM argumnents using a different path for the native library also causes the same error.in netbeans.
Removing the library from C:\Windows causes a different stack trace, which suggests that wildfly is at least partially loading the library:

Should the MSC executor be rejecting tasks before all service controllers are removed?

Caution: this is a theoretical solution to a problem.
I'm seeing a fairly frequent problem with the use of org.wildfly.core.testrunner.Server.reload() where the reload is proceeding but the server log shows the following, followed by various undesirable things and a test failure of one sort or another:

I believe the issue is that Server.executeReload is closing the client in a finally block immediately after reading the response to reload. But the server sends the response to reload *early* so on the server side the op is still in progress. The client-side close of the client is resulting in cancellation of that still in-progress op.
But why is the close of the client causing cancellation? The client has received the response; why is it still tracking the operation? My theory is that the ResultHandler created by ActiveOperationImpl is publishing the result (or failure) before it removes the active operation from tracking in a finally block. Doing this in the opposite order would mean the active op would be cleared before the result is published.

This failing example is being run from the cmd-line as a user might do. It is in this
scenario that the user needs to provide a security.policy.
We do not see this failure in jbossws-cxf testsuite because the tests provide the needed security.policy file.

Are you sure that it was previously tested and working with the same JDK? Because it's not clear to me that this ever could have worked with a security manager (it's the JDK itself which does not grant permission to tools.jar). I'm at a loss as to how this could have worked before.

Agreed this is not a desirable solution because it is not backward compatible. But we
don't have any viable solution at this point in time. Alessio and I have discussed this.
WFLY-9868 is *not * a workaround or solution for this problem. David Lloyd requested
the module ref to Elyton be added so the utility is using that security mgr code.
Please note that JBWS-4101 was created in order to keep this issue active and monitored
so that we could close this issue.
