Nexus now includes all the required Audit information by default. Once the information
contained in the existing audit (.json) files is migrated, to the standard Nexus format,
all the .json files can be deleted.

Early versions of the Nexus audit plugin created audit files of the audit files. For
example, some of the versions of the jboss parent pom contain files like this:
jboss-parent-4.pom.md5.audit.json.sha1.audit.json
