now (after re-reading) i understand the requirement. if multiple timers are scheduled to
fire at the same time, the current implementation will still execute them one after the
other. the answer remains in tact, though. we'll be using quartz for that in a POJO
environment and ejb timers in an enterprise environment.

Currently, you can only schedule events one by one. It should be possible to schedule
multiple events to ocurr at a single given time.
