This works for me, I tried it under 2.4 head. Note that [::1][7810] is *NOT* a valid
address, the angle brackets need to be removed ! ::1[7810] works.
Please attach instructions on how to reproduce this, and re-open the case if the problem
persists.

ON JBPAPP-2013 Dominik Pospisil reports the IPv6 address parsing fix in 2.4.6 doesn't
handle TCPPING:
Both

and
