The embedded console only displays live data - no requirement for historical data.
That's a JON features. If anything the JVM charts exceed requirements.

In the Console Virtual Machine view, the statistics go away whenever you move away from
the window; you have to keep it up if you want to gather any info over time. Might be
better to have a sliding window, or even better be able to specify the window.
