works on Chrome if I run through development mode. But if I hit the demo using Chrome I
do see the same failure you are seeing.
Can you take this over and see if there are errors on the back end of the demo?

You can assign this back to me if you like. I see two issues here. One is that there is
no reason we shouldn't be able to handle recursive=true. It's still a pretty
small amount of data and I can't imagine why the call stack would get very big either.
So I'd like to see if we can fix the lower level dmr code for safari.
The other issue is that I did do sort of a crappy job enhancing the help system and I had
already planned to clean it up after 7.1.1. Besides finding help text more efficiently,
we need to be able to associate the help text with the label on the screen instead of the
detyped name.

well, the recursion is not a general problem in GWT. but the stack limit is. after several
hours poking around, I discovered that the error actually appears at a different location.
it's the base64 decoder (runs recursively) which chokes on the large payload size.

So if we ever want to cache large sections of the domain model we'll have to download
it a little bit at a time. Ugh! The worst part is that there's no way to know when
we are going to reach the limit. All the browsers are setting the limit in different ways
and sometimes that limit is quite small. I wonder if the base64 decoder should be
