There's nothing really to solve - if you undeploy the "hung" service (via
CLI or whatever) the server is alive again. If the smoke tests are not handling a failed
deployment then that's an issue for the smoke tests. If the deployment operation is
not coming back as failed then there's a bug in the deployment operation handler.

JBAS-9063 is the same issue, but for the demos. So for this issue, let's focus on the
smoke tests.
JBAS-9010 is the core issue. A secondary issue is a deployment client blocking forever
waiting for a response. In both the demos and the smoke tests this is via a call to
ServerDeploymentManager.executeDeploymentPlan() and then calling get() on the returned
Future. I've fixed that for the demos (by adding a timeout to the get() and failing
the demo /trying to clean up if there's a TimeoutException.
For the smoke tests, a similiar thing could be done in the Arquillian, but the correct
behavior is trickier. E.g. what's the correct timeout, how best to clean up.

Disregard the previous comment. As Brian explained to me the operation succeeds to change
the model. It fails during runtime (hence the "rollback-on-runtime-failures"
