Creating What's new and noteworthy for M4 and CR
by Max Rydahl Andersen
Hi,
Its time we get N&N done and this time around we got 70 for both M4 and CR.
M4 were done partially and not announced broadly so I suggest we combine
our efforts and get both M4 and CR N&N done for CR1 release.
The issues are here
https://jira.jboss.org/jira/secure/IssueNavigator.jspa?reset=true&&fixfor...
<https://jira.jboss.org/jira/secure/IssueNavigator.jspa?reset=true&&fixfor...>
and I would appreciate if components/owners would do the initial work on
getting these new features documented in
svn at:
https://svn.jboss.org/repos/jbosstools/trunk/documentation/whatsnew
You can see both examples and previous versions and possibly even some
files for M4 in there.
Here are my suggestion for those who could do the various components -
please speak up if you are ok with it or not. Or if you think you can do
it instead then by all means step up the plate and let me know ;) It is
also ok to just delegate to someone else, as long as it gets done or I
know that it will have to be done by me or someone else. It would need
to be done by monday afternoon or tuesday morning.
Let me know ;)
esb - Denny
Hibernate - Dimitry
common/jsp/jsf - Victor or Alexey ?
Seam - Alexey
JBossAS/PRoject archives/Module assembly - Rob
project-examples/Maven - Snjezana
Visual Page Editor - Maxim
If your component is missing up there then its because you *havent*
labelled jiras you worked on as new_and_noteworthy.
Please do so now then and let me know what component you will be doing a
whats new and noteworthy for!
Thanks,
Max

Hey Max...
I didn't see the ESB Editor-related items we added in what's now called esb-news-1.3.0.CR1.html... Did those somehow get dropped from the What's New list for ESB?

Hi,
I went over the contributed new and noteworthy (thank you all!), I adjusted and added a few things but otherwise it was really nice to get the initial input and screenshots from everyone!
The final result is at http://fisheye.jboss.org/browse/~raw,r=19454/JBossTools/trunk/documentati...
Please check if you find that we got all the new cool stuff covered that you have been working on so everyone can know about it when we get to release CR1.

Probably. I wasn't sure what the version should be.

I see a esb-news-1.1.0.CR1b.html in the repository.
Is that what should be esb-news-1.3.0.CR1.html ?!

Re: [jbosstools-dev] New JBoss Tools Project
by Nick Boldt
Per the two JIRAs assigned to me, I will set you up a couple of Athena-style
builds so you can both build in Hudson and offline from your own workspace.
I will need that you (or I, if I have write perms) create one SDK feature
which includes everything in the project, and a tests feature to include all
the tests you plan to run automatically as part of the build. Note too that
I'm on vacation most of the rest of this month so I'm not promising anything
soon. :)
After 3.1GA, these can get hooked into the larger JBT build system (for
3.2?); in the meantime, you can at least get bits from Hudson and push them
to SF.net.

I've now added elvisisking, blafond, jdoyle, jpav to jbosstools jira and
svn so metamatrix/teeid designer et.al. can move in to the jboss tools
family.
I've also added jbosstools-dev(a)lists.jboss.org in cc which is a list I
suggest you subscribe to ;)
I expect you guys to outline where your stuff goes in svn in a way that
matches the existing modules etc. but I don't plan on having it in the
3.1 builds
right now because of eminent CR1 and GA work. But lets get the stuff in
place so its ready.

Re: [jbosstools-dev] jira rights
by Dmitry Geraskov
Hi, Rodney,
I found the proof of the issue.
See https://jira.jboss.org/jira/browse/JBIDE-3712.
I updated there a few times file patch.rar.
So, helpdesk have to give back our rights! ;)
