SOA-P tools Blocker only freeze and Beta3
by Doug Palmer
Hi everyone
SOA-P and associated tools will be moving to blocker only bug fixes from the 1st of June. If you have any non blocker fixes that you want/need to get in can you please finish them by then. I will then cut a branch and build Beta3 of SOA Tools.
Many thanks
Doug

b3 is *requiring* atlassian plugin to be installed !?
by Max Rydahl Andersen
Hi guys,
Why is B3 now *requiring* Atlassian connector to be installed when choosing abridged ?
This was deliberately marked as optional earlier to avoid this situation of having to install an mylyn atlassian connector and *all* its dependencies for basic functionality ?!
This is the error i'm getting now when trying to install JBoss Tools Beta3:
"Missing requirement: JBoss Tools Common - Mylyn 3.3.0.v20120510-2001-H58-Beta3 (org.jboss.tools.common.mylyn.feature.feature.group 3.3.0.v20120510-2001-H58-Beta3) requires 'com.atlassian.connector.eclipse.subclipse.core 0.0.0' but it could not be found"
This means users cannot simply go and select "abridged" and install it JBoss Tools into their default eclipse for B3 right now - they need to add the updatesite for Atlassian.
This was not necessary in previous milestone/builds afaics.

jboss tools blogging on eclipse planet
by Max Rydahl Andersen
Hi,
I noticed recently we got our blog removed from planet.eclipse.org, turns out I missed a bug opened against me because of my 3-part series about JBoss AS 7 and how its features was good for devs and jboss tools.
That bug is at https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=380109
We've been added again but with a warning if a blog entry is more about AS7 than Eclipse then we'll be removed again -
so just something to be aware about :)
on that note I also opened https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=380292 to change it from being my name listed to be JBoss Tools team
now that they seem to have allowed project teams on which they did not allow before.
btw. our latest release blog is getting heavy traffic compared to the last releases - in 2 days its at 2400 views compared to 2800 views of Beta1 post made back in March.
And that was all done without planet eclipse which otherwise have been a big source of links to us - so will be fun to see where that Beta3 blog count will go the next couple of days.
