I would change this link to something like http://download.jboss.org/jbosstools/updates/nightly/trunk and keep it the same for ever :) That means you can alway get last nightly build through this update site. So link http://download.jboss.org/jbosstools/updates/nightly/3.0.0.Beta1 means nightly build from branch 3.0.0.Beta1 After we decide it is time for release, release nightly build should be changed to build from TAG instead of branch update site URL should be the same. We usually have several release build candidates and build is triggered manually. so for QA it will look this way: 1. http://download.jboss.org/jbosstools/updates/nightly/trunk - they can install last build form trunk and it will picked up even they have any update site for previous version 2. http://download.jboss.org/jbosstools/updates/nightly/${release.number} they can get update for up coming version built from branch/tag 3.
