Beta 3 release Tuesday
by Stan Silvert
I'm shooting for Tuesday to do the Beta 3 release. Let me know if there
is something you want to get in at the last minute. I expect this to be
a true old-fashioned Beta in that it's not all perfect.
Also, I'm planning to update all the wiki documentation between now and
Wednesday. Because of the switch to HtmlUnit almost everything in the
docs changed. So I'll do the release, do a low-key announcement on the
forum, then update the docs, then announce more generally on
TheServerSide, InfoQ, etc.

Another beta release?
by Stan Silvert
Now that HtmlUnit 2.2 has gone final it is possible for us to do another
release. The plan has been for a GA release of JSFUnit in late August
or early September to coincide with the JSFOne conference.
We have three outstanding issues that won't be fixed until HtmlUnit 2.3.
So even if we fixed most of the outstanding JSFUnit jiras, I wouldn't
feel comfortable saying that we can do a GA release any time soon.
However, I'm now thinking that maybe we should do a third beta release
as soon as possible. This will get more people using the new
HtmlUnit-based stuff.
I hate for it to look like we're in endless beta though.
Any thoughts?

Code Freeze for Beta 3
by Stan Silvert
As we discussed earlier, we will do a Beta 3 release that includes both
HttpUnit and HtmlUnit. This will allow users to migrate to the
HtmlUnit-based client before JSFUnit goes GA.
I'd like to propose that we freeze the code on Friday, August 22. That
will give some lead time to do the release and change the documentation
before JSFOne.
In the mean time, there are a few things I hope we can accomplish before
the freeze:
* Seam conversation scope support (Stan)
* RichFaces tree component support (Brian, can you look at this and see
what it will take?)
* Get the static analysis code and wiki documentation ready for the
release (Dennis and Jason)
