This may not be the exact translation, but, the important part is the three plus signs together which make the Javascript invalid. It can of course be fixed by changing the original script to var something = 'abc' + (++this.increment);, but everyone may not have that liberty. I tried this with the YUI Compressor, and it seemed to handle it correctly, but we could not use that for other reasons.
