TEIID-1030 is more of a use case that this Jira will satisfy
So, the ability to retrieve a VDB archive from a ModeShape repository (via a webdav url)
and then deploy to the Teiid runtime will be accomplished with the completion of this
Jira.

Currently VDB deployment is strictly file based. Need to add support for deployment via
URL. Also, when a VDB is deployed through a URL, the the "component name"
supplied to the profile service deployer to save your deployment under needs to take a
name and version and derive a unique name.
