I did not encounter any NPE using org.apache.phoenix.jdbc.PhoenixDriver [1]. Other data types seem to be OK too. I have tried integer, char, varchar, float, double, tinyint, smallint, bigint, decimal, varbinary, boolean, time, date, timestamp.
