Steven Hawkins resolved TEIID-1679.
-----------------------------------
Fix Version/s: (was: 8.0)
Resolution: Deferred
It is not worth making this a breaking change. To make this non-breaking we could just
update the javacc id regular expression to include whitespace between the name part and
the period. For now, marking as deferred if/until generated sql or some other legitimate
need arises to alter how identifiers are parsed.
The parser should parse identifier parts separately
---------------------------------------------------
Key: TEIID-1679
URL:
https://issues.jboss.org/browse/TEIID-1679
Project: Teiid
Issue Type: Quality Risk
Components: Query Engine
Affects Versions: 8.0
Reporter: Steven Hawkins
Assignee: Steven Hawkins
Priority: Minor
The parser currently uses tokens to represent identifiers and all in group. Technically
. should be a token.
This would be a breaking change - something like order.\*, would be forced to be entered
as "order".\*
