This seems vastly more complicated than it should be, but it appears that the inclusion of the bundle plugin (even if through pluginManagement and adding supported project types) will fail if there is a "proper" resource adapter parent module. If the resource adapter parent isn't a child of the teiid root pom, then using pluginManagement works as expected. So there's something about our pom, jboss parent, or bom that prevents a sub-pom module from working as expected.
