(2) https://docs.oracle.com/javase/6/docs/api/java/text/SimpleDateFormat.html That's why a similar query will fail as it is being pushed to PrestoDB: {code} SELECT FORMATDATE(DateValue, 'F MMM-dd-yyyy GG') FROM BQT1.SmallA {code} because (1) doesn't support 'F' pattern, whereas (2) does. If it is not convenient to handle in Teiid, please add a note to the docs.
