In Spring they had different mechanisms handle like security, so any integration with other components will be hard or one has to handle on their own.

From what I can see all of the spring support is around calling soap through java bindings. If we are going to keep our generic logic, then we might as well bring the cxf support forward - it's used in camel as well.
