Well, I suppose one route would be to create a decorator ExpressionFactory (kinda like SeamExpressionFactory), which mostly delegates but adds MethodExpression/ValueExpression decorators which start/finish the dependent context appropriately. Since the webbeans pluggability requirement is gone, it seems like this should be easy enough to set up automatically, right? Of course, I'm not an expert on EL, so I could be wrong.
