Weird build error in IntelliJ
by "이희승 (Trustin Lee)"
I'm getting weird compilation errors when I build Infinispan via the
'Rebuild Project' menu item. It seems to fail to resolve inner types.
For example:
/home/trustin/Workspace/infinispan/ISPN-1064/core/src/main/java/org/infinispan/marshall/jboss/ExternalizerTable.java
error: not found: type Writer
public Writer getObjectWriter(Object o) throws IOException {
If I build from command line using Maven, everything goes fine.
Do you guys see the same problem?
Thanks

ISPN-755 - Scajadoc
by Filip Rogaczewski
Hi,
Alpha version of my master project, generation of Javadoc from Scala sources (https://issues.jboss.org/browse/ISPN-755) was just pushed to github - https://github.com/frogaczewski/Scajadoc
Scajadoc aplpha was tested against:
- infinispan/server/hotrod
- infinispan/server/core
- infinispan/server/memcached
- infinispan/server/rest
and it gives quite good results. Nevertheless, I would love to hear your
opinion about the Scajadoc ALPHA.
There are already some errors, which will be fixed in the forthcoming
versions. What is missing at the moment is a proper type and parameter
handling. Scala elaborate generics, variance, functions and tuples
require some more work on my side (about a week).
You may generate Javadoc for your Scala projects yourself with the
scajadoc maven plugin. Sample configuration is in the project's README,
maven goal is scajadoc:run.
Best,
Filip

XAResource or Synchronization?
by Mircea Markus
Hi,
If recovery is NOT used, what would you recommend as the default way of enlisting a transaction: XAResource or Synchronization?

history on master
by Sanne Grinovero
Hello,
I don't understand what happened; I'm having a clean master locally,
if I pull from "upstream master" I get many more changes than
expected, and many conflicts as well.
Looking in the network tab on github it seems that the reference
branch was Tristan's, which contains all of people's latest work. It
also looks like everyone else in the team didn't push anything to it's
own master in the last weeks.
https://github.com/infinispan/infinispan/network
after deleting locally two months of history I could merge upstream
master; it doesn't look bad and it includes many recent commits, but
I'd feel better if we understand what happened.

5.0.0.CR1 this Thursday? (28th April)
by Galder Zamarreño
Hi all,
We're hoping to do a CR1 this coming Thursday. How are things on your side for this?
Remember that after CR1 no more new functionality :)
I'm primarily focusing on https://issues.jboss.org/browse/ISPN-380 which is I'm hoping to have finished by end of today. Afterwards 2/3 small things to sort out before CR1.
Cheers,

JBoss TS SNAPSHOT dependency in master...
by Galder Zamarreño
Master's pom.xml is depending on a snapshot:
<version.jbossjta>4.15.0-SNAPSHOT</version.jbossjta>
Since we're planning to release a CR1 this week, this should be sorted in time for that to avoid funny issues.
Is anyone looking into this?
Cheers,
