Bela Ban updated JGRP-381:
--------------------------
Fix Version/s: 2.x
(was: 2.7)
Moved to 2.x: this will probably never get implemented, as experiments on JGRP-376 showed
that this doesn't speed up things
Concurrent stack: all queues for thread pools should use number of
bytes rather than number of messages
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Key: JGRP-381
URL:
https://jira.jboss.org/jira/browse/JGRP-381
Project: JGroups
Issue Type: Feature Request
Affects Versions: 2.4
Reporter: Bela Ban
Assignee: Bela Ban
Fix For: 2.x
Instead of defining a max number of elements in a queue BoundedBlockingQueue (used by
thread pool), we define a number of bytes. If that number is exceeded, we block on
put()/offer(), and only unblock if a take() has removed N number of bytes so we can add
our message without exceeding the limit
