This means that it is returning all the dattribute data for a group (member attribute, for instance, where there can me a huge amount of data). This slows things up a lot. As a performance enhancement suggestion the following should be added: String[] retAttr = {getRidAttributeID(), getDisplayNameAttributeID()}; controls.setReturningAttributes(retAttr);
