An appclient isn't the same thing as a full-on server and shouldn't have the same process type. This is likely to be a fairly significant change as introducing an new ProcessType will require tweaks in the code that checks whether it's a "server" to decide whether or not to add runtime steps. Simple enough stuff, just likely to need to touch a fair number of spots where this check is performed.
